Over 45 years ago in Colorado, a seasoned horseman faced a daily challenge—large amounts of hardworking leather that needed to be cleaned and conditioned quickly, without residue or darkening. From that need, a straightforward formula was created: oil-based, wax-free, fast-absorbing, and built on integrity and results.

Healthy Start

Healthy Leather originated from practical necessity—a solution that made caring for well-used leather efficient and reliable. What began as a response to demanding daily use grew into a trusted approach to maintaining leather’s natural character.

Decades later, longtime friends Jen Knox and Jill McConaughy recognized the lasting value of this original formula and chose to bring Healthy Leather to a wider community. Beginning in 2020, they expanded production and distribution while preserving the integrity of the trusted recipe.
